Massage Therapists

Aromatherapy with DoTerra Essential Oils

Aromatherapy using DoTerra’s Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils (yes the quality of the oil does matter) is becoming an essential part of any successful Massage Therapist.

Using a diffuser to diffuse the essential oils into the air you can set the tone and start the relaxation of your client from the moment they walk in your door.

Prior to the massage session a massage therapist can consult with the client as to the desired outcome of the massage. The proper essential oils should be selected and applied during the massage treatment.

After the massage a Message Therapist can recommend essential oils to be used at home between massage treatments.

How to Increase your Income with DoTerra Essential Oils

#1 - Your clients will have an overall more positive experience with you and will want to come back more often.

#2 - If your clients want to use essential oils at home between massage treatments you can sell them essential oil products through DoTerra. You can do this in 2 ways. You can sell them the oil at retail price that you buy at wholesale. Or you can set them up to buy wholesale through you and you get a commission from what they buy. This is the power of Direct Marketing.

How Aromatherapy Works

The part of your brain called the limbic system controls emotions and influences the nervous system and hormones.

When you inhale essential oils that have been diffused into the air they have an effect on the limbic system. The limbic system affects the heart rate, stress levels, breathing, immune system, etc.

The essential oils have different healing properties. For example, as a massage therapist you can select essential oils to calm or energize depending on the desired outcome.

What are Essential Oils?

Essential oils and natural extracts are the “soul” of a plant, possessing tremendous power and energy. As a rule of thumb, it generally requires anywhere from one to ten tons of flowers or plants to produce slightly more than a liter of essential botanical oil. For healing and therapeutic purposes, these oils must either be used in their purest and most concentrated forms or combined with common “carrier oils” for everyday use. Over 300 identified aromatic plants throughout the world yield their precious oils (or nature’s living energy) when properly distilled. Each oil contains the ability to aid in the relief and treatment of basic everyday physical and emotional wellness. Our key suppliers source for us the most pure and potent essential oils in the world.
